Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha. Drive through the Maasai countryside to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees, seasonal Tarangire River, and one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa.

Enjoy a full-day game drive while searching for wildlife including:

• Lions
• Giraffes
• Zebras
• Wildebeest
• Buffalo
• Impalas
• Warthogs
• Ostriches
• Numerous bird species

Stop at a scenic picnic site for lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive.

In the evening, transfer to your lodge or tented camp near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.

Often referred to as Africa's "Garden of Eden," the crater is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, and, with a bit of luck, the endangered black rhino. The crater floor also features Lake Magadi, where flamingos can often be seen seasonally.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater before ascending the crater walls and driving back to Arusha, where your safari concludes in the late afternoon.
