Location & Access
The camp is located close to Talek Gate, making it convenient for access to the Maasai Mara. From Nairobi, the journey can be made by road, while guests can also fly from Nairobi to a nearby Mara airstrip and arrange a road transfer to camp.

Zebra River Camp is an intimate luxury safari camp set among the riverine forest along a bend of the Talek River in the Maasai Mara, Kenya. Its location combines the tranquillity of the river and surrounding forest with easy access to the wildlife-rich Mara plains, making it an excellent base for an authentic African safari. 

Accommodation
Zebra River Camp offers comfortable, spacious safari accommodation designed to provide guests with an authentic yet luxurious Maasai Mara experience.
The camp features 15 luxury safari tents and one family tent, set along the Talek River. Each tent combines the atmosphere of traditional canvas safari accommodation with modern amenities and private outdoor space.

Guests can relax on their private veranda, listen to the sounds of the Talek River and surrounding wildlife, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the African bush after a day of game drives.

The published camp brochure lists rooms at approximately 77 m² (827 ft²), making them unusually spacious for a tented safari property. 

The River & Wildlife
One of the camp's defining features is its position beside the Talek River. The surrounding riverine environment attracts abundant birdlife, while hippos and crocodiles inhabit the river. Wildlife from the wider Mara ecosystem is also within easy reach of the camp.
Guests can enjoy the distinctive sounds of the African bush from their private veranda while watching the landscape change from morning to evening.

Dining
The main guest area provides indoor and outdoor dining, with a restaurant offering international and Kenyan cuisine. Breakfast, picnic lunches and dinner can be arranged, while special bush dining experiences allow guests to enjoy a meal beneath the African sky
The camp also provides a bar and comfortable lounge spaces where guests can relax between safari activities.
