In the evening, your experienced mountain guide will visit you at your hotel for a detailed gear inspection and trek briefing. The guide will check that you have all the necessary equipment required for a safe and comfortable climb. Experience:

After breakfast and a detailed trek briefing, you will depart from Moshi Town and drive to Londorossi National Park Gate, which takes approximately 2–3 hours. After completing park registration, the journey continues along a forest track by 4WD vehicle to the Lemosho Glades, the starting point of your Kilimanjaro adventure.

From Lemosho Glades, you begin your first hike through the beautiful montane forest, following peaceful trails surrounded by ancient trees, rich vegetation, and the sounds of nature. The trek leads you to Mti Mkubwa Camp (Big Tree Camp), where you will spend your first night on the mountain.

This gentle opening day allows your body to adjust to the altitude while introducing you to the stunning landscapes of the Lemosho Route.

After breakfast, we continue our Kilimanjaro adventure as the trail gradually becomes steeper, leaving the montane forest behind and entering the stunning giant heather and moorland zone. The landscape begins to open up, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the changing ecosystems of Kilimanjaro.

The trek continues across several small streams before ascending over the scenic Shira Ridge. We then descend gently toward Shira 1 Camp, located beside a stream on the beautiful Shira Plateau, where we will stop for lunch and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

After lunch and a short rest, we continue hiking across the Shira Plateau toward Shira 2 Camp, our overnight destination. This day provides an excellent opportunity for acclimatization as you gain altitude gradually while exploring one of Kilimanjaro’s most impressive landscapes.

At Lava Tower, located at approximately 4,600 m / 15,100 ft, you will spend about an hour resting and allowing your body to acclimatize while enjoying the impressive volcanic landscape surrounding Kilimanjaro. After this acclimatization stop, we continue our descent toward Barranco Camp, passing through the dramatic alpine desert and moorland scenery.

Barranco Camp is considered one of the most scenic camps on the Lemosho Route, surrounded by towering cliffs and the magnificent Barranco Wall. This day is an excellent preparation for the days ahead as your body adapts to the altitude.

After reaching the top of the Barranco Wall, we continue along the mountain ridge toward Karanga Camp. The trail provides spectacular scenery as you cross valleys, rocky landscapes, and high-altitude terrain. Several short stops will be made along the way to rest, take photos, and appreciate the unique environment of Kilimanjaro’s alpine zone.

Upon arrival at Karanga Camp, you will have time to relax, enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings, and prepare for the next stage of your climb.

Summit Preparation:
You will sleep early at Barafu Camp as the summit attempt begins around 12:00 AM (midnight). The climb to the roof of Africa will start under the stars, with the goal of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,341 ft) in time to experience the unforgettable sunrise over Kilimanjaro.

Experience:

After breakfast, we leave Karanga Camp and continue our ascent toward Barafu Camp, the final base camp before the summit attempt. The hike is relatively short, allowing plenty of time to rest, acclimatize, and prepare mentally and physically for the challenging summit climb ahead.

The trail passes through the stunning alpine desert zone, with dramatic views of Kilimanjaro’s rugged landscape. Upon arrival at Barafu Camp, you will have lunch, relax, and receive a detailed summit briefing from your mountain guide. The team will prepare all necessary equipment and organize for the midnight summit departure.

An early dinner will be served around 5:30 PM, after which you will go to your tent to rest and sleep before the final ascent to Uhuru Peak, which begins around midnight.

Experience:

Very early in the morning, around midnight (00:00 AM), we begin the final and most challenging stage of the Kilimanjaro climb. After a light snack and preparation, we leave Barafu Camp and start ascending toward the summit through the volcanic scree, heading between the Rebmann and Ratzel Glaciers.

The climb to Stella Point (5,739 m / 18,831 ft) on the crater rim is physically and mentally demanding, but reaching this point rewards you with one of the most spectacular sunrises you will ever experience. Depending on your pace, you may watch the sunrise from Stella Point or continue the final ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,341 ft).

Standing at Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the entire African continent, you will celebrate your achievement while enjoying breathtaking views of glaciers, clouds, and the vast African landscape.

After taking summit photos and spending time at the peak, we begin our descent. We return to Barafu Camp for lunch and a short rest before continuing down through the alpine desert and forest zones to Mweka Camp, where we spend our final night on the mountain.

After breakfast, we begin our final descent from Mweka Camp through the beautiful rainforest toward Mweka Park Gate. The trail becomes easier as we lose altitude, although the lower sections can be wet, slippery, and muddy, especially during rainy seasons. Trekking poles and gaiters are recommended to provide extra support and comfort.

Upon arrival at Mweka Gate, you will complete park exit procedures and receive your well-earned Kilimanjaro summit certificate as a celebration of your successful climb. Afterward, we continue walking for about one hour to Mweka Village, where our vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Moshi Town.
