Brief Description
For those wishing to incorporate an authentic cultural experience into their Tanzanian safari, a visit and overnight stay at the renowned Africa Amini Life Maasai Lodge offers an intriguing blend of luxury accommodations featuring traditional Maasai architecture and cultural activities.
Guests at the Africa Amini Maasai Lodge can look forward to spending their days on a journey of cultural discovery before enjoying a sumptuous Maasai-inspired meal and a comfortable night’s rest.

Location: The Africa Amini Maasai Lodge is located near the Maasai village of Ngabobo, in a remote area at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in Western Kilimanjaro, a 90-minute drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and a 2.5-hour drive from the city of Arusha.

Accommodations: Set amidst the wilds of the Maasai steppe are seven Maasai-themed bungalows surrounded by a 200-hectare nature reserve, offering magnificent views of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Behind the lodge and stretching all the way to the Kenyan border lies the savanna, home to the Maasai people. All bungalows are equipped with a modern rain shower and a flush toilet, and furnished with handmade furniture including beds, side tables, wardrobes, and Maasai-style décor. Bungalows are available for family accommodation. Electricity and water are heated using solar energy.

Facilities and services: The lodge serves international and traditional Swahili cuisine, as well as Maasai specialties, using fresh, organic ingredients from its own garden and eggs and chicken from its own livestock. There is a swimming pool, sauna, and spa, as well as free Wi-Fi in the lounge and spa area. Your stay at the lodge will include the following Maasai-themed activities as part of the package: a traditional spear-throwing competition with Maasai warriors; a nature walk accompanied by a Maasai shaman to explore the surroundings and meet the villagers of Ngabobo, who will share their extensive knowledge of herbs and medicinal plants.
